随に（まにまに）
As time goes by
なぜ煌めいて見えるのだろうか？。
何が存在するのだろうか？
今日もぶらりと近所に出かける。眺めるだけのパトロール。
ぽつりぽつりと空き家も増えてはきたけれど、急激になにか変化したわけではない。
徐々に農業や林業で生計を立てる家庭が少なくなったり、高齢化する中で、耕作されない田畑や利用されることがなくなった林道が増えたりと手入れが満足になされない場所も増えてきた。
木工や稲作に携わる者として、その変遷が少し残念に思うこともあるけれど、眺めては受け入れることが日常だ。
私が暮らす田舎の風景は、願いや思いとは無関係に時の流れに任されて変化してきた。
しかし、パトロールの中で立ち止まってしまうほどの煌めきに出会う瞬間がある。
放棄されたり、放置されたりしている場所ではあるけれど、時間の経過の中で静かに蓄積されたエネルギーのような、息遣いのような存在を感じる瞬間がある。
時のまにまに現れては消えるその存在をフィルムに記録しようと試みた。
Why do they look shining?
What does exist in them?
I go for stroll around my neighborhood again today.
It’s an usual stroll just to view them .
The houses have been turning vacant one by one, however I don’t feel these are changing something rapidly.
Due to a steady decline in families making their living by farming and forestry, or the ageing society, places no longer maintained such as abandoned fields and disused forest tracks can be often seen.
As a local woodworker and rice farmer, this change actually makes me regretful, however every time I look at them, I accept as they are.
The landscape of the rural area where I Iive has been changed as time goes by without our wish and thought.
However, while the strolls, I rarely come across their shining moments which stops my move unconsciously.
Although abandoned and left places, there are moments I feel the existence like their energy accumulated in silent times or like their breathing.
I have tried to record the existence which appears then disappears moment by moment on film.
